La Boulangerie! is a new non-profit itinerant platform to exhibit and promote emerging artists. Formerly a bakery from the 1900s, La Boulangerie! was born in a listed building centrally located on the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

The former bakery has Art Nouveau glass panels of the façade as well as the Rococo four seasons trompe l’oeil ceiling of farmers sowing seeds and harvesting wheat, were made by hand in the atelier of a certain Mr. Gilbert. His art still survives in a very few commercial antique spaces in Paris, most famous amongst them being the now popular restaurant Chez Julien situated right on the river Seine by the Marais.

We are a collaborative and itinerant platform confronting artists to existing architectures and experimenting new ways of curating by exploring how art adapts to popular and uncommon (art) spaces around the world.

La Boulangerie! is supported by rossogranada.
